More information to come

This group originally brought together a collective of six second-year acrobats. Driven by a common momentum, the project quickly attracted other protagonists of acrobatics, from second and third years, animated by the desire to perform, by solidarity and by a passion for movement.

Some joined the adventure out of personal conviction, notably Sheyla, whose gymnastics background resonated particularly strongly with this creation. Returning to perform on the Gymnix acrobatic floor, after choosing the path of circus arts, represented for her a symbolic way of coming full circle. A touching gesture, full of meaning, that reflects the unifying and profoundly human spirit of this project.

FREE CONFERENCEPresented by Jean-Paul Richard

A freestyle ski coach for 22 years, Jean-Paul Richard led the Swedish national team to the Vancouver Olympics (2010), then the Canadian women’s team, contributing to the Dufour-Lapointe sisters’ Olympic double in Sochi (2014). He subsequently gained extensive experience in performance management, holding various leadership positions, notably at Cirque du Soleil. A certified Integral Development Coach, he now applies his expertise to engaged leadership and well-being with TANGIBLE Performance.

The subject: Supporting autonomy for healthy and sustainable performance: everyone has their place in the integrated support team, including sports science professionals, sports medicine professionals, and those involved in performance management and the performance environment. The goal is to enable performance that is effective, sustainable, and respectful of the long-term development of individuals and teams.

FREE CONFERENCEPresented by Bianca Dancose-Giambattisto

A former gymnast with the Canadian national team and the NCAA circuit, Bianca is a pelvic health physiotherapist, kinesiologist, and founder of Women in Sport, an initiative that mobilizes the sport ecosystem to place women’s health at the heart of sport culture. She supports athletes, leads workshops for sport organizations—including Gymnastics Canada—and trains health and sport professionals on the overall health of female athletes. Bianca works to bridge the gap between science and practice and build a more equitable sport by addressing the needs of girls and women on the field.

The topic: Helping gymnasts understand the particularities of women’s health and demystifying the role of the menstrual cycle and pelvic floor in sport.

Signing session with the men’s national artistic gymnastics team

Performance by a group of contortionists from the National Circus School

The contortion group comprises six second- and third-year students who collectively created this act a few months ago, initially for performance at the school’s Cabarouette. Encouraged by the joy of creating together and the enthusiastic reception they received at this first performance, they wanted to develop the piece further and share it in other contexts. They enthusiastically accepted the invitation to present their work at International Gymnix, thus continuing the collective momentum that has driven this creation within their chosen discipline.
